Medical Assistant

Medical Assistant program graduates are eligible for employment in a variety of settings which could include physicians' offices, insurance providers, medical laboratories, or medical records departments. As a member of the health care team, the medical assistant prepares patients for examination or treatment, takes vital signs, performs simple lab tests, performs electrocardiograms, and performs administrative functions. If you are looking for a career working in a fast-paced environment where you interact with many people every day, medical assistant is the career for you. Bridge to Practical Nursing

100% refund, if application for refund is made by the student prior to the first scheduled meeting of the course and the student does not add another course. 80% refund for a course is made before or at the time 10% of the course's total hours of instruction have been completed. 60% refund for a course is made after 10% but before more than 20% of the course's potential hours of instruction have been completed. No refund if application is made after 20% of the course's total hours.

MAKING SENSE OF THE EMPLOYMENT OUTCOMES:

"Average quarterly wages" means the total wages earned in a three-month period by all students who completed the program ("completers"), divided by the total number of completers.

"Median quarterly wages" means all the completers' quarterly wages are placed in order from lowest to highest and then we identify the student's wages in the middle. This information is provided because averages can be greatly influenced by really high and low wage earners.

To estimate monthly wages, divide the quarterly wages by three.
